Hello everyone, I hope you had a nice week! It was a "short" week for me as I had Monday off, but it really didn't feel that short at all. Monday I got to go on a beautiful hike at Quarry Rock in North Vancouver and enjoy the sunny and surprisingly warm weather. The view from the top was crazy pretty, but the pictures really don't do it any justice. Tuesday I, unfortunately, had to go back to school which was just as painful as it sounds. Thankfully, I survived, but I was having some breathing problems that prompted a trip to the clinic. I've been doing better the past few days, but the meds in the inhaler they gave me didn't seem to react well with my body, and I spend Wednesday night pretty sick.
My great night was really just brought to the next level when the fire alarm went off at 3:40 am, and by the time my alarm went off for my 8 am the next day, I was worse for the wear. I decided that it would be best to sleep and get better, so I skipped class for the first time. I'm not really sure if it counts as skipping if you're sick, but let me just tell you that, after that, I was quite stressed about missing class. Not much of a rebel at heart, I guess. The sleep was, however, worth it, and I was able to get to the rest of my classes Thursday. I slept quite a lot Thursday night, too, so I made it through Friday more or less easily. All of this tired me out, though, so yesterday I got in a nice row and then promptly took another nap. That was probably the third of the week, which is wayyyy more than normal as some of you know.
Last night, Amy, Keelie and I took a failed trip to Richmond (we thought the night market was open but it had closed for the season last weekend), then ended up just getting pizza on campus before going to bed early. Just more evidence that I'm really not a rebel, in case anyone was questioning that. Now I'm just trying to get work done, which is sort of failing because my motivation levels have dropped as the number of midterms per week goes up. No breaks here. Yay!
